The Gory Details Screening

The Gory Details screened on April 4th in Orange, CA at Chapman University's Dodge College of Film and Media Arts to an incredibly strong audience reaction. Laughs were a plenty and the night was a testament to the excellent effort put forth by the whole cast and crew. The film is now available to watch at danielmclellaneditor.com. I would like to extend my thanks to Scott Sullivan, the writer-director for bringing me onto this project and I would encourage you all to take a look at the film if you have a chance.

La Nina Color and Conform

La Nina del Desierto has locked picture and is now entering Lustre for Color and Conform. Brian Andrews is hard at work on the score while Bobby Brinkerhoff works dilligently on the post-production sound. Malachi Rempen, the director, Boa Simon, the cinematographer and myself will be locked away in the autodesk suite perfecting the color and timing of the film. The project is coming together wonderfully and I hope that everyone can make it to the May 2nd screening in Orange, CA at Chapman University's Dodge College of Film and Media Arts.

After much confusion it has been discovered that the footage from first weekend may not actually have been scanned yet.  Once it has been scanned the director, cinematographer and I will recieve an e-mail from Dodge College.  This may change the dates listed below but we will see.

Director Scott Sullivan gave me the sound disc and I will begin syncing tomorrow night.

Dailies will run on Friday 10.16.08.

Assembly finished by Sunday 10.18.08 at 10 p.m.

First Cut will be shown on Wednesday 10.21.08 and Thursday 10.22.08
